Wisconsin finds loophole to make attempted necrophilia a crime

ammit's picture

This is wrong in like, seven different ways. Three guys in Wisconsin went to a graveyard and tried to dig up a corpse for one of them to have sex with. They didn't get the coffin open. They're being charged with attempted sexual assault because the corpse would have been unable to give consent.

But at least they took a box of condoms!

We could just prevent all this

by getting rid of cemeteries. Seriously, they take up a shitload of space, and nothing good ever happens there anyway.

whaddyamean??

Nothing good ever happens there? Come on! Everything good happens there. Picnics. Family reunions. People get laid. Lots of reading material. (Reading is good, right?) What's not to like?

heehee "family reunions"...

I actually do have a thing against cemeteries. I think it's ridiculous that dead people take up so much space. I mean people needing to have 10 babies is one thing, but dead people don't need jack or shit. Maybe we should just build our playgrounds on top of the corpses?

City cemeteries

City cemeteries traditionally have been parkland, to be used as recreational space, a swath of guaranteed protected greensward for expanding cities. In that light, I find it hard to complain. I mean, it's not a great park, but at least it's not a tenement.

On the bright side, there are some folks working on ways to make dead people not take up so much space. Did you ever read Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach? (I'm guessing you have!) It was kind of an eye-opener for me, it gave me hope that there are options beyond wasting real estate and wasting fuel (to cremate).

Stiff

Has actually been on my "to read" shelf for a while. It keeps getting bumped. I'll have to push it back up to the top now, though! ;)

I do know that in England they're going through a legal battle over changing the amount of time before you can reuse a plot- from 100 years to 50 years. They're running out of space, and real estate is expensive.

Schane said the Pocono

Schane said the Pocono Plateau site is open to anyone, regardless of faith.

What about white people?

Or women?

Will republicans be allowed??

Seriously, if you're going to turn people into loam, it is moot what they did in their minds before they died, right?
