The desert island part was what made it confusing for me. Usually when this kind of question is asked, it means that you're stuck there alone, with nothing but a few things to keep you entertained... but the time period encompasses a lot of things. Politics, fashion, music, TV, having the internet.... those are the things that come to mind with a "decade," but how do those things apply if you're alone on an island with no social structure, or power lines, etc.? Or maybe I'm just thinking too much?
