Lake Mead has a 50% chance of going dry by 2021. And a 50% chance of going low enough by 2017 that the Hoover Dam stops providing power. Los Angeleans will be very, very thirsty.

Didn't Palm Springs or somewhere water so much that they actually developed a local weather pattern that included actual, real rain? I'm not finding any write up about this, so either I dreamed it, or it's a secret.

Of course, it's not enough to fill all the toilets in LA with potable water, in any case.
