What happened to some good old fashion "Yo Momma Jokes" or "The tasteless joke book"? Why? why? Where has our political correctness taken us and why do we follow, at least not get caught. Hold on, I have to look over my shoulder before writing some more. Why did I look over my shoulder you ask? I am writing this from work.

I dunno about that.
I'm one of the least politically correct people I know. I *love* grotesquely inappropriate things, because they make me laugh, totally senseless crudeness is awesome. I can't even guess how many times I should've been fired for shit I've said at work, and possibly divorced for stuff I said at home. Strangely, I tend to get promoted into management in a hurry, and I am miraculously still married.
On the other hand, jokes about people who are or were in the news recently really annoy me, for reasons I can't quite pinpoint. Jokes about current events just aren't funny, they're more like a defense mechanism for when the news makes us uncomfortable. And yet.... those jokes are apparently politically correct. It's somehow socially appropriate these days to make light of tragedy. I'm probably not saying that right.

The only difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is none.
