Conan...What is best in life?

Ortega — Thu, 04/10/2008 - 11:57

"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentation of the women." I still love this movie and you can still find it at your local video store. Let me know your thoughts and ramblings.

Space Combat Flight Simulators...

Ortega — Mon, 03/31/2008 - 14:16

What this world is missing are good old fashioned Space combat simulators. I remember the glory days of Wing Commander, X-wing vs. Tie Fighter, Tachyon. If anyone can think of others please let me know. Thanks.

Watch out for Baby Head-butts......

Ortega — Fri, 01/18/2008 - 13:03

Baby head-butts to the nose are very painful. Baby teeth are sharp as knives and baby kicks to the groin are very painful. You gotta love parenthood.

Has anyone read "Temeraire"?

Ortega — Wed, 09/26/2007 - 11:38

I personally enjoyed the books, and I really hope Peter Jackson does make movies from the books. They must be pretty good since he did purchase the movie rights. Imagine dragons in the Napoleonic era and the English are fighting Napoleon and is armies. A must read. Please go to www.temeraire.org or look up Naomi Novick. She was programmer turned author and I am glad she did.

If you were on a deserted island, what book would you like to have?

Ortega — Tue, 09/11/2007 - 10:02

Since I enjoy reading a bunch, I thought I would ask myself this question. What book would I like to have, if given the choice? There are so many that I enjoy, I guess I would bring "Gray's anatomy". Since I will be on the island for awhile, I might as well get to know what I am made of and how everything works. This would give me the opportunity to see my everyday life and current environment in a new light.

Yo Momma jokes?

Ortega — Wed, 09/05/2007 - 13:27

What happened to some good old fashion "Yo Momma Jokes" or "The tasteless joke book"? Why? why? Where has our political correctness taken us and why do we follow, at least not get caught. Hold on, I have to look over my shoulder before writing some more. Why did I look over my shoulder you ask? I am writing this from work.

What if you had Super Powers? Stop time or Mind Control?

Ortega — Thu, 08/02/2007 - 16:06

If you had the choice between Stopping Time or Mind Control, which one would you choose and why? I personally would choose Mind Control, because it is easier to get things done. Plus you age at the same time everyone else does.
